David Fisher, known as the world’s greatest rope jumper, will perform in Greene county six times next week.
Fisher has been given the title of World’s Greatest Rope Jumper by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! as well as being a Guinness world record holder. During his performances he encourages people of all ages to get in shape while having fun. Although most people won’t learn to jump rope while seated, Fisher says rope-jumping “is inexpensive, portable, and infinite in its creative possibilities, and one of the best cardiovascular workouts one can get.”
Fisher will perform Monday, May 15, at 9:30 am at the Grand Junction Community Center, at 4 pm at the Paton fire station, and at 7 pm at the Scranton Community Center.
He’ll perform Tuesday, May 16, at 9 am at the Paton-Churdan school auditorium, at 2:15 pm at the Greene County Middle School in Jefferson, and at 5 pm at the Wisecup gymnasium at the former school in Rippey.

All programs are free and open to the public. Books, DVDs and jump ropes will be available for purchase after the performances.
